Counselling

Sometimes in life we can all face difficult and challenging times. Counselling can help by offering a safe, supportive, non-judgemental space, where you can explore your feelings, concerns and difficulties whatever they may be.

About me

Hello, I’m Laura. Welcome to my website. I am a qualified Humanistic Psychotherapeutic Counsellor working in Eastbourne. I have experience working with people who have a wide range of difficulties, such as depression, anxiety, self-harm, suicidal thoughts, relationship difficulties, grief, low self-esteem, isolation or anger for example. Alternatively you may feel something is not right, but unsure what this is.

Through a process of exploration, counselling can help you to gain greater understanding of whatever difficulties you may be facing, helping to increase your self-awareness.

Before becoming a counsellor, I gained a BSc degree in Psychology and went on to train as a mental health nurse. I spent several years working as a nurse in mental health community services for the NHS in Sussex and Hampshire.

I would love to meet with you and talk about how we could work together. Please contact me to arrange an initial session.

About counselling

Counselling is a place where you can explore any difficulties you may be facing in a confidential, supportive environment with someone who can listen without judgement.

My work is grounded in the humanistic approach, this means that I see each and every person as an individual. How you each experience your world is unique and can be explored through a positive, trusting relationship where you can feel heard and accepted for who you are. We can work in partnership, I will not tell you what to do or give advice.

I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and abide by the BACP ethical framework.
